This star-studded concert celebrates the centenary of the birth of
legendary composer Richard Rodgers, whose contribution to musical
theater was extraordinary (over 900 published songs, 40 Broadway
musicals and several film scores). With Lorenz Hart and later Oscar
Hammerstein II, he wrote Babes in Arms, Oklahoma!, Carousel, South
Pacific, The King and I, and The Sound of Music, still among the most
successful shows of all time.
Directed by Simon Callow, this production features song, dance, and
anecdotes featuring leading stars from both Broadway and London’s West
End! Features Maureen Lipman, Judi Dench, Ruthie Hensheall, Lesley
Garrett and Kim Criswell.
